Assessing rotor dynamic and vibration issues in a turbine

One of DOCAN's recent explorations into rotor dynamic and vibration challenges in a turbine.

We work on many interesting projects across various industries and disciplines, and more recently we have been helping more clients solve their vibration issues.

One of our engineers is currently looking at Rotor Dynamics and Vibration, a particularly fascinating area of Mechanical Engineering.

The graphic below shows a turbine set being assessed. This is its first mode of vibration.

As we look further into this there’s more to explore and we’re interested to delve into the stability map, out-of-balance, whirling frequencies and see how these numerical FEA-based dyrobes models compare to actual CM vibrations.

If you have any rotor dynamic or vibration challenges, get in touch with DOCAN. We are Corporate Members of the Vibration Institute and serve as representatives for the UK, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

Our expertise spans training, measurements, and consulting, offering substantial value in this specialised field.
