DOCAN Ltd are now Corporate Members of the Vibration Institute
We're excited to announce that we have joined the Vibration Institute as Corporate Members.
The Vibration Institute is a not-for-profit organisation created to disseminate practical information on evaluating machinery behaviour and conditions without commercial interest.
It started in the late 1960s and has grown ever since. The Institute offers a variety of programs, including education, training, certification (CAT I Vibration Analyst, to CAT IV, etc), and opportunities for technical knowledge exchange.
Our members share information, procedures, and cutting-edge data through formal training, networking, meetings, and publications. On March 4, 2010, the Vibration Institute received accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for the Institute’s Vibration Analyst Certification Program.
The purpose and aim for DOCAN becoming Corporate Members with the VI is to enable us to offer industry best practices for cutting-edge solutions related to Vibration particularly in the industrial setting, either within Expert Consulting, or Condition Based Monitoring.
Richard Carroll, DOCAN’s Technical Director said: “We have been in discussions with the Vibration Institute for some time, and the first step in our relationship is to become Corporate Members. From my personal technical background, and to the work we do within DOCAN, Dynamics and Vibration-related services are becoming more and more important.
“We have some fantastically skilled, educated and experienced Engineers and Technicians, and by becoming Corporate Members we can ensure our methods, technology and thinking are absolutely cutting-edge and consistent with the body of knowledge within the industry and the Vibration Institute. Our aim is to have a full range of certified Vibration Analyst – from Expert Level (CAT IV) and below (CAT I & II), such that services offered, whether from our Expert Consultants, or our highly experienced Technicians, is absolutely credible offering expert advice and significant added value.”
